Life at Home...

Today is a very special day...today was my original due date!! It is so strange to think that Brooke was supposed to be in my belly until today!

On Sunday, Brooke celebrated her 2 week birthday! :) I will have to admit that having a baby is a huge adjustment in the home and can be quite overwhelming at times. However, I wouldn't trade this for anything. I am loving every minute of being a mother. Having to wake up every 2 hours in the middle of the night is pretty rough, but it is definitely worth it. I was never one to believe in love at first sight, but once I saw my daughter for the very first time, I immediately fell in love. My love for her continues to grow every day! It is so neat to see how she recognizes Reagan and I. She can be screaming from hunger, but as soon as either one of us picks her up, she instantly stops! She loves to just look at our faces and stare at us. Right now, we have had to switch to formula because I am on an antibiotic for about a week. Although I was REALLY about to quit breastfeeding (it can be such a PAIN!), I have definitely seen a difference in her since we've been giving her formula...and it's not a good thing. She has been more fussy and has had several tummy aches. Maybe we need to switch formulas, but I'll be anxious to see if she gets any better once I can breastfeed again.

We are in the process of picking out our photo announcements to send out to everyone. We've been having some trouble getting good pictures of Brooke because she's constantly moving! So, we've got a bunch of really blurry photos. We also have been trying to get some good pictures of her when she's awake. Once we have some nice ones, we will be sending out the announcements, so be on the look out for one in your mailbox!
